The fire service is such a great career! It has turned into a profession that allows me to provide for my family beyond my wildest imagination. I have such gratitude to all the firefighters in the past who paved the way for us newer generation firefighters who don’t have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. Without the hard work of these men and woman, this opportunity wouldn’t exist for us today. I love this career so much, but there are two things that are more important to me than this career. Those two things are my health and my family. Thats why this blog will help firefighters with their finances to help them leverage their income from the fire service to retire earlier than expected and spend more time with their families. None of us got into this career for money, just the opposite. Most of us spent years doing this job for free. Now it is time for us to take responsibility of our finances and set ourselves up to retire happy, healthy, and wealthy. We owe it to ourselves, and we owe it to our families. Enjoy the ride!!!
